  • Be Sure Your Building's Environment is Safe and Healthy!

We conduct various types of environmental testing and inspections in all residential and commercial buidlings. The most common are Air Quality, Mold Assessment Inspections, and Radon Testing. We can inspect for Chinese drywall, water quality, lead paint, VOC (Volatile Organic Compound), formaldehyde, asbestos, bed bugs, and other environmental concerns that may cause issues to your health and safety.

Mold Assessment / Air Quality Testing

During our complete property inspection or sole environmental inspection, we can test for the most common types of airborne mold spores through our field samples and Prolab analysis. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) link many respiratory problems in America to the air we breathe within ours homes and offices. Air concerns should NOT be a deal breaker and can often be easily rectified.

A general licensed inspector can perform limited air quality testing during the course of an inspection, but cannot perform an assessment or write protocols. We, however, are a Licensed Mold Assessor, trained to inspect and perform a more invasive inspection and write a protocol or direction on how to remediate (remove).

    Radon Testing

The US EPA and the Surgeon General recommend testing all homes in the USA for radon.

Radon is gas that comes from the natural (radioactive) breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water, and gets into the air you breathe. Radon can be found in every home in the U.S. and is a known carcinogen. Radon is the leading Cause of Lung Cancer for Non-Smokers. You can’t see it. You can’t smell it. You can’t taste it. In Florida, 25-33% (or one in four) homes that are tested have elevated radon levels above the EPA action level of 4 pCi/L.

Elevated radon levels have been found in all types of Florida buildings, including manufactured homes, schools, and high-rise condominiums. Generally, the EPA recommends that if your radon levels are over 4 pCi/l, you should mitigate to protect occupant’s health. When radon levels are confirmed over 8 pCi/l, you should mitigate as soon as reasonably possible.

How do you know what radon levels may be in your home or property? We provide the testing and inspections neccessary to help you know!

    Thermal Imaging

As a certified Thermographer, we use Infrared Thermal Imaging technology in addition to moisture meters and various air samples. We are certified in Moisture Intrusion and not only test for mold, but also help evaluate the cause of possible moisture intrusion. Thermal imaging can be used to see moisture behind walls and beneath tiles. We follow a combination of IICRC guidelines and EPA standards.

The images below show the difference of what you can see with and without thermal imaging.
